Terms of service:
Last Updated: 28/07/2026
Welcome to IEA CONSULTING. These Terms of Service govern your use of our website and the services we provide. By engaging with our services, you agree to these terms.
1. About Our Services
IEA CONSULTING provides independent solar advisory, performance monitoring, energy assessments, reporting, and project coordination services.
Our services are designed to help clients better understand, manage, and optimize their solar investments. We provide analysis and recommendations based on the information available to us but do not replace the services of qualified electrical contractors, engineers, or other regulated professionals.
Where installation, electrical work, certification, or specialist engineering services are required, these services will be performed by appropriately qualified third-party contractors.
2. Independent Advice
Our objective is to provide independent guidance focused on your energy requirements, financial objectives, and long-term system performance.
We do not recommend solutions based solely on equipment sales or installation value. System recommendations are based on factors including:
-
Historical electricity consumption
-
Energy requirements
-
Backup power requirements
-
Available solar resources
-
Existing equipment
-
Budget considerations
-
Expected system performance
Our recommendations are intended to assist your decision-making process. Final decisions regarding equipment purchases, installations, and upgrades remain the responsibility of the client.
3. Solar Monitoring Services
Our monitoring services involve analyzing available system data to provide insights into your solar system's performance.
Monitoring reports may include:
-
Solar production analysis
-
Battery performance analysis
-
Energy consumption trends
-
Grid import and export analysis
-
Estimated savings calculations
-
System performance observations
-
Recommendations for optimization
Reports are based on the accuracy and availability of data provided by your monitoring platform, inverter, battery system, electricity provider, and other available sources.
We cannot guarantee the accuracy of data supplied by third-party platforms or equipment manufacturers.
4. Monitoring Periods and Report Delivery
Monthly monitoring begins on the agreed service start date.
Reports are prepared after a complete monitoring period has ended to ensure that sufficient data is available for meaningful analysis.
Once the monitoring period has concluded, we require approximately 2-5 business days to analyze the data and prepare your personalized report.
For example: If monitoring begins on 15 March, your reporting period will run from 15 March to 15 April. Your report will typically be delivered between 17 April and 21 April.
Report delivery times may vary depending on:
-
System complexity
-
Data availability
-
Technical issues
-
Public holidays
-
Additional analysis requirements
5. Payment Terms
For new monitoring clients, the first invoice will be issued after the initial monitoring report has been completed and delivered.
Ongoing monitoring fees will be invoiced monthly after completion of each monitoring period unless otherwise agreed.
Payment terms:
-
Invoices are payable within 30 days of issue
-
Services may be suspended if payments remain outstanding
-
Pricing may vary depending on system size, complexity, and service requirements.
6. Installation Services
Where requested, IEA CONSULTING may assist clients with solar installation projects by coordinating qualified installation partners.
One role may include:
-
Understanding client requirements
-
Reviewing proposals
-
Coordinating communication
-
Assisting with installer selection
-
Managing project progress
-
Providing post-installation monitoring
The installation itself remains the responsibility of the appointed installation contractor.
The installation contractor is responsible for:
-
Electrical installation
-
Compliance with applicable standards and regulations
-
Workmanship
-
Equipment installation
-
Electrical certificates of compliance where applicable
-
Manufacturer warranty requirements
The client enters into a separate agreement with the installation contractor for installation services.
7. Installation Partner Relationship
We may receive a referral fee, commission, or project management fee from installation partners for completed projects.
To maintain transparency:
-
Our commissions are structured to avoid incentivizing unnecessarily large systems
-
We may cap commissions on certain projects
-
Recommendations are based on client requirements and sustainability, not commission value.
Our objective is to ensure clients receive a suitable and valuable solar solution.
8. Third-Party Products and Services
We may recommend products, manufacturers, installers, or service providers based on suitability and availability.
However:
-
We do not manufacture solar equipment
-
We do not control manufacturer warranties
-
We do not guarantee third-party services
-
We are not responsible for failures caused by equipment manufacturers, installers, utilities, or external service providers
Clients should review all warranties, agreements, and terms provided by third parties.
